Prof. dr. Niels Chavannes

Niels Chavannes is Professor of Public Health at Leiden University Medical Centre. His main topic of research is the application of e-Health in disease management. Within the ICFI he is involved in the Frugal Thermometer project. He is also a member of the valorization panel for the project Responsible Entrepreneurship and Frugal Innovation.

His research interest lies in:

• management of the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD);
• asthma therapy adherence;
• eHealth applications;
• smoking cessation therapies;
• international cooperation with focus on low- and middle-income countries etc.
