EADI Working group webinar series Frugal Innovation and development CFIA

The EADI Working Group Webinar Series has been running successfully since 2017. It gives participants the opportunity to engage with critical thinkers and innovative new research findings.

Development Studies is a multi- and inter-disciplinary field of study rather than a single discipline. EADI Webinars showcase this diversity and highlight the interplay between social, economic, political, technological, ecological, cultural and gendered aspects of societal change on local, national, regional and global levels.

On 9 May, 3pm,  CFIA's director Prof Peter Knorringa, International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) will give a talk on "Frugal Innovation and Development".

Peter Knorringa is Professor of Private Sector & Development at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam. His main interests concern the diverse roles and impacts of business on development. He investigates to what extent socially responsible and environmentally sustainable forms of development are possible under capitalism.

An introduction to the topic is available in the
European Journal for Development Research, Vol 30, Issue 1.

The 20min talk will be followed by Q+A and discussion. To participate, please register here
