International Conference "Frugal Innovation for Sustainable Global Development"

Start date
End date

Location: Leiden, the Netherlands

We no longer invite abstracts for paper contributions for the academic part of the conference.

The conference takes place in Leiden, which is only a 20 minute train ride away from Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. Other airports on which guests from abroad may arrive are Rotterdam The Hague Airport or Eindhoven Airport. From Rotterdam The Hague Airport it is about an hour travel by public transport to Leiden Central Station. Travelling from Eindhoven Airport to Leiden Central Station takes between two and three hours by public transport. The easiest ways of planning your trip after arriving at either one of these airports is by using the website of NS (for trains only) or 9292 (for all public transport options). All Dutch public transport operators are accessible with a so-called 'OV chipkaart'. However, it is also possible to buy individual tickets for trains, trams of buses.

The conference will take place in the centre of Leiden, meaning that accommodation in or close to the city centre is at walking distance to the venue. If you prefer staying in The Hague you will need a 15/20 minute train ride from The Hague Central Station to Leiden Central Station.
